UNFORGETTABLE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
I love making a robust, flavor pleasing, good old fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup. If you do too, this post and recipe are for you.
Truth be told, I created this recipe in my former kitchen on Midway Drive. When one of my neighbors fell ill, I brought her a big fresh batch of this chicken soup. Once she was on the mend, she returned my empty pot and exclaimed, "That was the best Chicken Noodle Soup I have ever had!" I've been doling it out ever since.
I enjoy taking the typical, expected recipe and adding my own twist, or in this case, many twists. And like one of my typical "original" recipes, this one is simple and pretty quick.
I always buy organic ingredients from my local Whole Foods market, but you can find the same or similar brand ingredients in most grocery stores.
I made this recipe this evening because it's been a chilly, windy day. My husband requested I make something hot and fulfilling for dinner - this was the perfect choice. He immediately suggested I make this my next published Mrs. Colonial's Kitchen recipe, so here you go. I hope you enjoy!

EPILOG:
When I published my recipe for Tiramisu For Two, I suggested perusing a local antique shop and finding a special dish to present the dessert to a friend, and then leave them the dish as a special gift. Just a couple of days after publishing that recipe, I went to one of my favorite antique shops, Antique Harvest in Healdsburg, CA, and right out front, the first thing I saw, was my exact same pedestal dish I had photographed my Tiramisu in. I decided the world works in mysterious ways and felt it was a sign I was right where I was supposed to be, enjoying one of the best little towns in America. And, even more fun, right next to that dish was this Italian vintage soup tureen I'm sharing my soup in tonight!
